Dave Gray
GRAY, David M.Pine Lake
David Marple Gray was born on October 26, 1936 to
Robert and Helen (Marple) Gray. He attended school in
Plainwell and remained in the Plainwell/Pine Lake area his
entire life. Dave attended and graduated from the police
academy and served as an Allegan County Sheriff's Deputy for
10 years. Dave was also a life member of the Jaycees and the
Elks. He trained under his father, Robert and became a
master electrician and ran Gray Electric and subsequently
CETC, INC for numerous years.
David passed away Friday, June 11th, 2010 surrounded by his
wife and family.
David leaves behind his wife, Rebecca, and children, Barbara Gray, Kelly (Steve Grimm) Gray, Timothy (Helen) Gray, Sara Cook, Victoria Dandrow, Justin Cook, and Trisha (Jeffrey) DeMann. Dave is also survived by grand-children, Shannon, John, Matthew, Autumn, Jason, Kaitlynn, James, Zoey, Landen, and Mackenzie; great grand-children, Michael, Brandon, Alaina, Alex, Lance, Katarina and David; brother, Richard (Jane) Gray; father-in-law, Paul Smith; numerous nieces, nephews, and in-laws. Dave also leaves behind dear and life long friends, Al (Linda) Blanchard, Robert (Tina) Arcan, Thomas (Barbara) Wright, Arie (Gerry) Vander-ploeg, the Saturday morning Pine Lake Diner crew, and loyal friend and employee, Robert (Deb) Pike.
Dave was preceded in death by his father, Robert, mother, Helen, infant sister, Nancy, Sue Closs Gray (mother of Barb, Kelly, Mike, and Tim), son, Michael and life long companion, Storm.
